Parents and families make an important investment in the Terp Student Experience - and in their own Terp’s experience - by directing their gift to the Terp Family Fund.
The Terp Family Fund benefits your student from the moment they enter UMD. Gifts from parents and families enrich various aspects of your Terp’s experience by supporting programs and initiatives which enhance the campus environment and prepare students for a lifetime of success.
“Terps After Dark” late-night, alcohol-free student activities and “T.E.R.P.S for Terps,” a suicide prevention training program, are two of the signature programs being funded by the Terp Family Fund this year. In addition, gifts to the Terp Family Fund allow the Vice President for Student Affairs the flexibility to direct funding to new initiatives or unexpected student needs in areas like student health and wellness, accessibility and disability services, and career development support.
Gifts in support of the University of Maryland are accepted and managed by the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., an affiliated 501(c)(3) organization authorized by the Board of Regents. Contributions to the University of Maryland are tax deductible as allowed by law. Please see your tax advisor for details.
