Leading to New Heights: Investing in Maryland’s Next Generation of Leaders
Local technology consulting firm Cloudforce has partnered with the University of Maryland on a fundraising campaign to support a transformative leadership program for talented transfer students from Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Based in National Harbor, Cloudforce was recently named Microsoft’s 2025 Education Partner of the Year for their results providing secure access to generative AI tools for public sector clients, including University of Maryland. The campaign has a $100,000 fundraising goal and will feature an engaging event at the Capital Wheel on April 9th, 'Investing in Maryland's Future: An Evening of Impact'.
This leadership program is celebrating 20 years of impact in 2026. 445 students have graduated from the program, many of them first-generation college students who have gone on to work in the fields of business, technology, public service, and community leadership. These students have had their futures transformed by the scholarship support, academic coursework, and most importantly, the community.
"One of the best parts about this program is the support system. The people in my program have become like a second family. They showed me that I don’t have to go through school or personal hardships alone because I always had someone to lean on or get advice from." - Austin Nche, class of 2027
"This program has allowed me to strengthen my faith in myself and break the barriers I had placed in front of me by helping me overcome my fear of rejection, public speaking, and taking on leadership roles with confidence." - Ashley Chavez, class of 2027
Join us for the event or simply donate to support these incredible students. Thank you for your generosity!
