Who Are We?
Established in 1982; Terps Racing is the University of Maryland's very own student run Motorsports Organization. Every year we design, manufacture and compete with a brand new car at at the Annual SAE competitions. Comprising of 150+ students across the Formula ICE, Formula EV & BAJA (offroad) teams, we proudly represent the University of Maryland and and all Terps in front of schools and Companies from across the globe.
Each of the competitions pose its own set of challenges, pushing students to hone their skills in the fields of engineering, cost planning, workload and timeline management, team work, leadership and many more. Due to the broad set of skills necessary to run a successful race team, Terps racing is an organization that is open to anyone that is interested in getting involved in the motorsports industry!
How Can You Help Us?
At Terps Racing we believe in Speed, Safety and Looking good while doing it! And with that mission in mind we are looking to raise the necessary funds through your generous donations to purchase an OSHA compliable inoperable Paint Booth.
Our Paint Booth which was was responsible for giving our cars its aesthetic flair has been deemed inoperable and irreparable and hence doesn't meet the necessary safety standards. Hence, we have to sand and paint our vehicle components outside which is especially an issue in the winters as the paint cannot be applied properly when the temperature drop below 50°F halting production.
Your generosity can make all the difference by allowing us to replace our inoperable Paint Booth with a new OSHA and NFPA33 compliant Paint Booth, ensuring that our members work in a safe and conducive environment, unaffected by weather constraints.
Your contribution not only secures the safety of our students, but also, propels them forward, enabling us to continue to proudly represent Terps Racing and the University of Maryland everywhere.
