Team TAIP: Teaching AI Platform for more personalized learning

About Us:

Team TAIP is a sophomore undergraduate research team and part of the Gemstone Honors Program at the University of Maryland.

Our mission is to increase the quality of learning in the classroom for all students by integrating Artificial Intelligence into education. We aim to create an AI teaching platform that is based on personalized learning, meaning each student is monitored and provided feedback based on their current understanding of the material. In addition, having a platform that adapts to the teacher's cirriculum will greatly increase the quality of learning, as it would directly relate to the style and structure of the teacher's cirriculum. Studies have shown that frequent and specific feedback can help students learn more effectively. Our platform will seek to automate this process using AI, which would not only benefit the students, but would give the teachers more time and more insight into how each invididual student is performing. Overall, the AI learning platform will transform learning for both the students and teachers, which is a key step in creating a plethora of opportunities for students.
