Hi all,

It been a long time in the making to reach this point, but we have finally added a new horse to our program. Dude is a thoroughbred 15-year-old who stands at 15.2 hands. Dude has settled in nicely to our program and loves the other on-campus horses. He was kindly donated to the program, and the money raised in this fundraiser went toward his veterinary care and making sure he had a comfortable transition to UMD. He is a loving, friendly, and slightly camera shy guy who has stolen the hearts of our entire club. Thank you all for your generous donations. 

The Maryland Equestrian Club has worked diligently since the end of this fundraiser to find that perfect horse for our program. We are so happy to give you all an update stating that we have a growing list of prospective horses currently being looked at. Our selective process in securing a new horse will allow us to purchase the best candidate that is safe, beginner friendly, and will fit in well with our current herd. Stay tuned for further updates and thank you again for your generous contributions!

As our 30 day campaign has reached the end of its time, we have raised $4,589. Although we did not reach our goal of $7,500, we now have a secure amount of funds to start searching for that perfect beginner horse our program needs. Thank you to everyone who was so generous as to donate to our cause. I am proud to say that MEC was able raise over $4,500 in a 1 month period; something that our club has never accomplished before. Stay tuned to hear more about our search for a new horse and eventually show off our future purchase with pride!
