Invest in the next generation
of built environment designers and practitioners TODAY!

Through our programs in architecture, urban planning, real estate development, and historic preservation, The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation is dedicated to providing our students with the experiences and tools they will need to tackle today’s complex challenges and create just, beautiful and resilient places for all. Scholarships are one of those tools.

Your gift to the MAPP+D Dean's Scholarship Fund will:

  • Provide scholarships for our talented students in all programs
  • Open doors to the highest caliber of academics, immersive educational experiences & internships
  • Empower students to develop high-impact solutions for our global society

Recent gifts have:

  • Lightened the financial burden for our students & their families
  • Reminded students that someone sees their potential
  • Allowed students to focus on classes, internships & extracurricular activities

With your support, students in the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation will be able to access a world-class University of Maryland education—and then go on to change the world. Thank you!

How will my gift benefit MAPP students?

Your gift will go into a fund managed by the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and will be pooled together with other gifts from Giving Tuesday that will be designated to need-based and merit-based scholarship awards for our students.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. You will receive official notification and recognition of your gift from the university. Please check with your tax advisor for additional information.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. The date was chosen as a balance to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Gifts in support of the University of Maryland are accepted and managed by the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., an affiliated 501(c)(3) organization authorized by the Board of Regents. Contributions to the University of Maryland are tax deductible as allowed by law. Please see your tax advisor for details.
