Friends of the Libraries Fund: Support for Where the Need is Greatest
Our libraries are once again thrumming with life as our buildings are full of students and researchers. More than ever, the Libraries are a vital educational partner and center of support in the teaching, learning, and research endeavors of UMD students and faculty. Use of library services and resources has only grown. The Covid-19 pandemic proved a time when access to digital resources is critical to carrying out the academic mission of the university. While books and tangible materials are still a major part of the Libraries, access to digital resources is critical to carrying out the academic mission of the university.
Your gift to the Friends of the Libraries Fund will help to preserve and build upon the Libraries' critical resources and diverse collections for the benefit of today’s Terps and for future generations to come. The Friends of the Libraries Fund directs support wherever the need is greatest within the Libraries, ranging from support for journals and electronic subscriptions to growing our general collections and enhancing library facilities.
Please consider a gift to the University Libraries. A contribution to the Libraries benefits every student and faculty member and helps advance vital research and instruction at the University of Maryland.
