Model Citizenship Prize

ABOUT THE PRIZE

The University of Maryland Model Citizenship Prize recognizes two seniors who have exemplified model citizenship, and have contributed significantly to the general advancement of the University during their collegiate careers.

ABOUT THE FUND

The Model Citizenship Prize Fund was established with leadership from MCP alumni to not only cover the costs of the commemorative watches for Prize recipients but also to provide financial support to these outstanding graduating seniors.

"We recently were able to bring about a change in the name of the award based on the overwhelming consensus of prior recipients. We found that we have common bonds which should be nurtured. We also should endeavor to provide the future recipients with a financial scholarship to assist in their academic future."

- Steve VanGrack '70 (Model Citizenship Prize Recipient)

Thanks to the generosity of a few MCP alumni, we are able to match gifts up to $20,000.  Please consider supporting Terps who have shown exemplary leadership and citizenship!
