In just a few short days since our project launched we have already raised $1000! That is 11% of our goal! The Black Engineers Society is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support that we have received so far. Lets keep up this momentum and keep raising money so that we can can reach( and maybe even exceed) our goal!

We are officially almost half way there to raise our goal of $9000!! As of today we have raised $4,375! Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared our link. We still have two weeks left to raise the rest of the money so please keep on sharing the link with anyone you think would be willing to help. After we recorded this update video we continued to receive donations and we hope that trend continues! Thank you for your continued support!

In the past 4 days we have already raised another $1,400! This is the type of momentum that we need to keep up during the last 10 days of our campaign. Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared our campaign with family and friends. Your support means a lot to us and we would not have gotten this far in our campaign without it. However, our work is not done. Please keep on passing on the word about helping to send the Black Engineers Society to California for our NSBE National Convention. In these last few days, we still need to raise $3,225 to reach our goal and with your help I know that we will be able to do it!

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since our last update but I am proud to announce that we have officially made it to Anaheim, California for the 41st Annual National Society of Black Engineers Convention! !!

The chapter has spent a lot of time over the past few months to prepare for this trip. On Wednesday March 25 at 5: 00 am, 25 members of the chapter made their way to Reagan Airport. We landed in California around noon and were met with palm trees, warm weather and smiling faces. The first day here was spent mostly exploring the hotel, adjusting to the time difference and searching for a good Wifi connection to do school work before the opening sesision began at night.

Tomorrow all of the workshops, career fairs, interviews, competitions and networking opportunities begin and everyone in the chapter is really looking forward to it all. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week about how the convention is going.

Hello Everyone,

As promised here is the thank you video and recap of our trip to California. While there we had multiple members interview for and recieve internship offers from places like Boeing and Toyota, participate and place in the National Hackathon Competition, recieve scholarships, and get elected to the NSBE Region 2 Executive Board! In addition, we had countless opportunities to network with other NSBE members and professionals, all while enjoying the absolutely amazing weather. Needless to say this trip was an absolute success that would not have been possible without all of you!
