A huge thank you to everyone who has donated thus far! We truly appreciate your support towards meeting our research goals. Currently, the pandemic is keeping us from testing participants in person, so we wanted to give you all an update on how our research approach has changed since everything has been online. Until we are able to safely conduct in person research, we will be collecting all the same information that we would have gotten directly from testing participants from the ADNI online database. From this database, we can get blood biomarker data for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment. We can also gather lifestyle data from these individuals, such as diet, sleep habits, and physical fitness.
Ideally, we hope that in the near future we are able to do blood tests, physical function tests, and cognitive assessments in person. If that is not the case, we will stick with collecting this information from online databases.
That being said, we can still use your support this November during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Help us achieve our goal of $5000, which will help fund our future in person research and allow us to present our research, in person or online!
This kind donation will allow us to accommodate our participants with snacks and a parking pass to participate in our study.
This kind donation will allow us to perform a physical functioning test on one participant and compensate them appropriately.
This kind donation will allow us to purchase the sterile materials to complete blood draws on our participants.
This kind donation will allow us to perform MRI cognitive assessments on our participants.
This single donation will allow us to buy one kit to measure our targeted biomarkers.
This kind donation will allow us to make our research accessible to a wider population by sustaining conference fees.
