Terrapin Family,
In concordance with health professionals, the Maryland volleyball program has decided to delay the European tour to the Summer of 2022. This was a tough decision to make, but our student-athletes safety and health must remain our top priority.
Thank you for your support of our program and specifically for this trip. Your past donations will help our program fund the trip in 2022, when it is safe to compete internationally.
We ask that you continue to support the volleyball program and this trip as we are still short of our $50,000 fundraising goal. This 11-day European tour will include stops in Amsterdam, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. The trip gives our team the chance to explore different cultures, compete against various professional organizations as well as respective national teams, all while representing Maryland on the global stage.

Maryland Volleyball
Dear Maryland Volleyball Supporters,
After careful consideration with the athletic department and public health professionals, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the European tour until summer 2021. Maryland volleyball is committed to the overall health and well being of our student-athletes, and while we are disappointed in the loss of an opportunity to train over the summer, we know that there is much more at stake.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, we found that postponing our summer tour was in the best interest of our student-athletes. Though we dearly miss being together as a team, we will continue to follow the guidance provided to us by skilled health professionals at the University of Maryland and beyond.
Your generous support has been crucial in providing this once-in-a-lifetime experience for our student-athletes. Though we won’t be enjoying the sights of Amsterdam, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy this summer, your continued support will be truly appreciated as we plan for our European tour next year.
Go Terps!
