The Terps Racing team would like to invite you to Maryland Day, Saturday April 29th from 10am-4pm to thank you for your contribution to our Launch UMD crowdfunding campaign. Maryland Day is an opportunity for the University of Maryland community to show off why we’re proud to be Terps. The team will be at the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building Plaza to reveal the 2017 formula and baja vehicles. We would appreciate the chance to show you where your support has led and to demonstrate the value of our program.

Maryland Day will also be a chance to meet Clifford, the big red Ford F-250. Over the summer, with almost exactly the amount of money you helped us raise, we bought our truck! We look forward to many more miles and many more years of use for the new truck.

Thank you to all of our donors who helped us raise a grand total of $25,255! You made it possible for us to reach 136% of our initial goal and made this a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign. It’s remarkable that we have so many supporters who believe in the educational value of our program.

Thank you to all of our donors – we sincerely appreciate your overwhelming response to our project. While we have reached over 100% of our initial goal, we’re not done yet.  

We are going for a stretch goal of $25,000 to be able to come as close as possible to our ideal truck. That ideal truck has a long bed to fit the baja car while it tows the formula car in our trailer, a diesel engine, and the least amount of miles as possible. We still have until Friday morning to keep crowdfunding, so even though the status bar may say that we have reached our initial goal, we still need more support!

After about two weeks of fundraising we've made it over halfway to our initial goal! We’ve raised over $10,000 towards a new tow vehicle. Thank you to friends, family, and past and present members of Terps Racing for all of your support. 

In other big news, the formula team's frame seam welding is complete. This may be the earliest the frame has ever been welded in Terps Racing history.
