Support WMUC Sports Alongside Mark Crotty '80

WMUC Sports is the sports broadcasting branch of WMUC 90.5 FM, the official student-run, non-commercial radio station at the Univ. of Maryland. For over the last 50 years, WMUC Sports has evolved to be the go-to, diverse student broadcasting coverage for a dozen Division 1 sports participated in by the Maryland Terrapins. Our program has evolved into over 60 energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial sports broadcast-oriented students who provide live sports radio play-by-play while also hosting podcasts, social media, and feature stories. WMUC Sports' prides itself on giving our student members the most professionally-applicable experiences has possible, which comes with your generosity. Your support is greatly appreciated to help make sure that our students, when applicable, can substitute a hotel and flight instead of couch surfing after a 10+ hour out-of-pocket drive when covering road games. Your donation also helps us cover invaluable equipment and subscription costs that are necessary for future growth.

We encourage you to consider joining Mark Crotty '80 in supporting our work. Mr. Crotty, an active volunteer at the National Radio and Television Museum in nearby Bowie, Maryland, has graciously established two station-changing funds: The “Robert Mark Crotty ’80 Endowed Fund for WMUC Sports Journalism” and the “Robert Mark Crotty ’80 Current-Use Fund for WMUC Sports Journalism.” These funds, set to be impactful during the 2028-2029 academic year, will see Mr. Crotty generously contribute to the endowment and provide on-going annual funding towards our expenses. WMUC Sports is beyond appreciative for Mr. Crotty vision and investment in our student members' future, and now, he wants to work with you and support the station before his contribution becomes active. Mr. Crotty has gone above and beyond and pledged to match an additional $2,500 for current use if the same value can be raised through WMUC Sports' 60-day Launch UMD campaign.

Thank you for the time, interest, and unwavering support alongside Mr. Crotty as our students look to build their professional career and extend the WMUC Sports legacy.
