National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Development Support

he UMD Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to promoting the recruitment, retention, and success of underrepresented minorities in STEM fields. With over 200 members, we host academic, professional, and social events that empower our members and uplift the community. These include study sessions, resume and interview workshops, mentorship programs, company information sessions, and outreach activities that inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

With a growing membership and ambitious goals, we face increasing financial needs. Your donation will help fund essential initiatives such as designing and purchasing merchandise, securing campus spaces for events, and providing travel and lodging support for our members attending the NSBE National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, your contribution will allow us to host impactful events like our end-of-year celebration and our basketball tournament with other NSBE chapters, creating opportunities for collaboration and networking.

Contributions to Launch projects support specific areas of the University of Maryland and are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

No. All gifts to LaunchUMD projects should be submitted online, unless you are able to make arrangements with the project leaders.
